Almirall, S.A. is a Spanish global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Barcelona, founded in 1943 and listed on the Spanish stock exchange (BME: ALM). Once a broad-based pharma group, Almirall has repositioned itself as a company focused on medical dermatology (skin health), while continuing to market a legacy portfolio across cardiovascular, respiratory, CNS, gastrointestinal, urology, osteomuscular and diabetes areas in Spain. It runs its own R&D (a centre in Sant Feliu de Llobregat and the Reinbek Centre of Excellence for Dermatology in Germany) and manufactures at pharmaceutical and chemical plants in Sant Andreu de la Barca and Sant Celoni (Spain) and Reinbek (Germany, formerly Hermal).
