PAX-Bags (X-CEN-TEK GmbH & Co. KG)

PAX-Bags is a brand of X-CEN-TEK GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Wardenburg, Germany. The company develops and manufactures emergency backpacks, emergency and first-aid bags, and rescue & transport systems for emergency medical services, fire brigades, mountain and air rescue, police and special units. Products are designed in cooperation with rescue services and sewn in PAX's own manufacturing (PAX-Manufaktur) by an international team of specialist tailors. The company is certified to EN ISO 13485:2016, the medical-device quality-management standard. The brand began in 1994 when founder Andreas Harms sewed the first PAX-Bag prototype; X-CEN-TEK GmbH was founded in 2000. As of October 2025 the product line and founder of AK MedTec GmbH (heated stretcher pads and vacuum mattresses) were integrated into PAX-Bags.
